Low Road Studios
Brighton's Coolest Garage
Our Story
Brighton's fanciest high-tech studio? ... Perhaps not, but easily Brighton's coolest garage ...
Low Road Studios is situated in the centre of town, only a few minutes from the clocktower and about 10 minutes from the station (on foot). The studio was founded in 2020 during lockdown when I (Folly the dude, not one of those ornamental buildings aristrocats used to have on their estates) first set up in my grandparent's barn back in the Netherlands ... which surprise surprise ... is located on a road called 'de Lageweg', or in English 'Low Road'. I first moved to Brighton in 2018 to go to BIMM (yeah I know on of those ...) but when everyone thought the world was ending I figured it'd be nicer to experience the apocalypse closer to family ; ) ... As we all know by now, the world didn't stop turning, and since then I have moved back to Brighton ... along with all of the gear I hoarded alongside the toilet roll. Does the name make much sense now? No, but then few things in life do (exceptions being; Sauerkraut, Aglets, and Discrete Class - A Preamps). There there are plans to expand the current studio in the years to come, but for now I quite like the 'gezelligheid' of the current space. Seeing I have a mobile rig, I occasionally still record bands back in the Netherlands too and also offer on-location services within the UK. So ... if you and your band book the AirBnB in the Welsh countryside ... I can bring the stuff needed to capture some magic!
